It measures reading skills at grade 4 and the data can be used to report to indicator 4.1.1a.<\/p>\n<p><b>Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS -4th Grade)<br \/>\n<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/timssandpirls.bc.edu\/\">TIMMS<\/a> is also organized by the IEA. It measures mathematics and science knowledge at grade 4 and the data can be used to report to indicator 4.1.1a.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Regional assessments\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study (ERCE):<br \/>\n<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/learningdata.uis.unesco.org\/index.php\/\/navigator\/what-are-the-options-for-reporting-on-sdg-indicator-4-1-1\/4-1-what-assessments-report-to-indicator-4-1-1a\/4-1-c-about-erce\/\">ERCE<\/a> focuses on countries in Latin America and measures mathematics, reading and writing skills at grades 3 and 6. The grade 3 data can be used to report to indicator 4.1.1a.<\/p>\n<p><b>Programme for the Analysis of Education Systems (PASEC):<br \/>\n<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www-pasec-confemen-org.translate.goog\/?_x_tr_sch=http&amp;_x_tr_sl=fr&amp;_x_tr_tl=en&amp;_x_tr_hl=en&amp;_x_tr_pto=sc\">PASEC<\/a> is intended for francophone countries in West Africa and measures reading and mathematics at grades 2 and 6. The grade 2 data can be used to report to indicator 4.1.1a.<\/p>\n<p><b>Pacific Islands Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (PILNA)<br \/>\n<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/eqap.spc.int\/PILNA\">PILNA<\/a> measures literacy and numeracy knowledge at grades 4 and 6.
