AMPL-b tests were developed in the Monitoring Learning Outcomes (<a href=\"https:\/\/milo.uis.unesco.org\/\">MILO<\/a>) project to measure learning outcomes at the end of primary education. AMPL-a and AMPL-c, also known as the PISA modules, are under development and will measure learning outcomes at the end of lower primary education and end of lower secondary education respectively.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Ways to administer AMPL items?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Standalone assessment: <\/b>AMPL can be administered as a standalone assessment where countries or regions administer AMPL items in the place of their national or regional assessments. AMPL-b has been administered as standalone assessment in Sierra Leone and Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p><b>Integrate into an assessment:<\/b> AMPL can be integrated into national or regional assessments by administering the items as an independent assessment booklet or by using rotated booklets whereby a large number of AMPL items are grouped into different assessment booklets and then administered to students in a manner where no individual student is tested on all the AMPL items. AMPL-b was integrated into PASEC with Burkina Faso, Senegal, Burundi, Ivory Coast as participating countries.
